Ratings

- Exceptional is given only when the story stands out above others, or when the book stays in my mind long after I've read it.

- Excellent is what most books receive. I try and read only books by authors I like. This usually insures good reading.

- Good - Quite a few of the books reviewed rate this, meaning that it's good, but flawed in some way..

- So-So - Sometimes I try a new author and am disappointed, or else an established author will disappoint me, but it's rare to give this rating.

- not recommended - Have only given this twice, but you never know when I may read a "real dog" again!

My comments are a better guide most times. Just don't decide whether to read or not read any book because of the rating.
